Kingston has launched a bunch of new memory modules in its HyperX family and it has focused on aggressive memory latencies that it calls Ultra Low and Low Latency. The memory modules are intented for both the DDR and DDR2 market where we can start with the DDR market where it has launched Kingston KHX3200UL/1G that actually are the first 1GB modules we know of specified at 2-2-2-5-1. These modules are of course also available as 2GB kits for systems with double memory channels. For the DDR2 market it’s Kingston’s 800MHz modules, that has had its specifications tuned. Kingston KHX6400D2LL are available as both 512MB and 1GB modules with latencies specified at 4-4-4-12, which is perhaps not as impressive, but still very competitive. These modules are also available as dual channel kits.

For those about to prolong the life of its DDR platform Kingston’s new Ultra Low Latency modules is a very interseting choice. Both high density and optimal memory latencies are hard to say no to.
