Mac OSX hacked in 30 minutes

On February 22 a Swedish Mac user held a ”hacker competition” where the goal was to hack a Mac mini server and breach the system’s security and finally get root access. The participants was given local accounts to the system and what they hoped to be a long and enduring competition ended after just a few hours. The competition was then over as a hacker had completed the assignment and according to him it had only taken 20-30 minutes from getting in to getting root access. Simply because Mac OS X was poorly protected and that he used one of the security holes Apple hasn’t announced yet, nor solved. The hacker, known as Gwerdna, said the following;
