nVIDIA C51 is the chipset that once again shall bring integrated graphics to nVidia’s mainboards. The last time we saw an integrated graphic circuit on a nVidia-mainboard was with the nForce2 chipset for Athlon XP. Athlon 64 has so far not had a chipset with video from nVidia but now it seems to be coming and nVidia C51PV is the name to look for. PV is name an abbreviation for Pure Video, the name of nVidia’s dedicated graphic circuit. The circuit found in nVidia C51PV seems to be a close relative to GeForce 6200 TC and one of the main features is the support for hardware accelerated HD-video. A very good choice for e.g. the HTPC.
