OCZ Technology is a leader among retail SSD makers, but it shown interest in the more lucrative business sector. Beside the new HSDL interface it has presented the new Deneva SSD series with SandForce SF-1500 controller.
SandForce cooperates with most SSD component markers, but OCZ Technology was first to use the company’s SSD controllers and is an important partner. OCZ took the top model from SandForce utbud, SF-1500, and built the new business series Deneva.
OCZ Deneva has 50GB, 100GB, 200GB, or 400GB capacity. OCZ offers a variety of configurations where the SF-1500 controller can be paired with SLC, MLC or eMLC NAND flash memory. The default Deneva has a MTBF of 2 million hours, while Deneva Reliability boasts 10 million hours, which comes at a higher price.
The drives use SATA 3.0 Gbps or SAS 3.0 Gbps interface and has maximal sequential read and write speeds of 285 MB/s and 275 MB/s. The random write performance of 4K files is between 45,000 to 50,000 IOPS.
