Sony PSP is basically a portable gaming console, but games are far from everything this unit can be used for. Already from scratch PSP comes with support for music and video playback, either from a memory card or UMD-discs. Now Sony has taken another step towards multimedia with its PSP-console. It has namely started to sell PSP Media Manager. Media Manager is a software that is installed on a PC and will be used to fill your PSP with all the information the user wants to bring with its PSP. So be it if we’re talking videos, music, images or simply backups. Sony simply wants to make it as easy as impossible to transfer different types of digital media to your portable console, known as Sony PSP. Source: GameSpot
