Toshiba has announced that the Satellite P205 has been updated, quite a bit. The new P205 will now sport Santa Rosa technology and a new HD DVD drive. Toshiba touts the HD playback features of the new P205 and the possibilities of playing 720p content on the 17″ display (1440×900). 1080p support would of course be nice, but that would probably bump P205 to a whole nice price segment. Today the HD DVD-equipped version of P205 costs $1,499. Lesser versions of the P205 can be had for only $999 at Toshiba Direct.
