OpenOffice has now made a press release about version 2.0.4 which is now available for download. It has updated quite a lot, to much to fit it all here, but the most important includes an improved pdf support, the possibility to direct export to LaTex and a load of new functions with Calc and Impress. The biggest update has to be the so called packages though. Packages can be described as something similar to Mozilla’s extensions, which makes it possible to add functionality to OpenOffice through simple modules. The list of bug fixes is long which has made OpenOffice to urge all users to upgrade as soon as possible. The new version can be downloaded from OpenOffice’s website.
