PlayStation Portable is quite a remarkable gaming console but despite good networking capabilities Sony has never offered support for Internet browsing or anything similar. However it didn’t take long before they managed to use Sony’s portable console for browsing the web, but to succeed they needed a copy of the game WipeOut and some tweaking. Now it seems that also Sony has realized that this is a highly desored function and it will launch a software update that will add a number of new features, among others support for browsing and downloading TV-programs. They also plan on launching a white version, but for now this will only be ”Japan only”. Source: Yahoo!
