ThermalTake is a manufacturer mainly know for its chassis and cooling products, but its power supply units are starting to become more and more common in stores. At Computex they’ve displayed a lot of new products and one of them is a special power supply. It is namely a new top model of the Toughpower series with a specified capacity at quite impressive 1200W! Toughpower 1200W is truly something beefy and we can only feel sorry for the users who actaully need this kind of power to keep their systems running. The PSU follows the ATX2.2 standard and is EPS 12V compatible. For cooling there is a 140mm fan which should keep both noise and temperature at bay.
The Toughpower series will be available with five different capacities; 700W, 750W, 850W, 1000W and 1200W. What the new flagship will cost and when it will arrive is still uncertain.
